Privacy Statement

Ferrero U.S.A., Inc. operates several Web sites to inform consumers about our brands. We carefully limit the information we collect. Out of concern for every visitor's privacy, we want you to know what information we may collect and why. But we are particularly concerned about the privacy of children who may enjoy spending time on any of our Web sites and we advise parents to carefully read the information that applies to online privacy for children on our Web sites.

TRACKING INFORMATION WE USE TO EVALUATE OUR WEB SITES

In order to tailor our Web site content to consumer preferences, we track statistical data for all hits, including search engines, browsers, referring sites, activity levels and geographic locations. This information is used in the aggregate and is not personally identifiable.

In this connection we may use information files called cookies that your browser stores on your computer. It is possible to reset your browser so that it notifies you of an incoming cookie or refuses to accept it.

INFORMATION YOU CHOOSE TO SUPPLY

You may have to supply personal information, such as your e-mail address, in order to participate in certain activities on our Web sites. If you choose not to participate, you can still enjoy other areas of the Web site without supplying such information. In every instance, the information you provide is used only for the specific activity you choose, and will not be provided to unrelated parties.

LINKS TO OTHER SITES

Some of the activities on our Web sites may provide links to other sites. While we do our best to send you only to sites that are compatible with the image of our brands, we can't make any guarantees about the content of linked sites because sites and addresses may change without prior notice. As soon as we become aware of such changes, we will of course remove links that no longer meet our approval.

Children's Privacy: Message to Parents

Ferrero U.S.A., Inc., operates web sites that may attract children younger than 13 years of age. On this page we give you notice of the limited information collected for the activities children may enjoy while visiting our Web sites.

  • For online games, your child may be asked to submit an invented screen name together with a secret password so that game scores can be recorded and compared to the scores of other players, also identified by screen names. Optional age and gender information may be collected in order to improve the site content.

  • Your child may be able to send a pre-designed e-mail greeting to a friend through our Web site. For this activity your child's first name and e-mail address will be inserted into the greeting, as well as the recipient's first name and e-mail address, but we will not store this information.

  • For promotional contests and sweepstakes, we will make one request for the parent's e-mail address, and first name only of the child in order to contact the parent in case the child is a winner. This information is deleted within a reasonable time period after the winners have been selected and is kept secure during such time. In addition to the above, we may collect tracking information in the aggregate, such as zip codes, in order to measure the interest in our Web site activities.

Our current policy is not to collect any personally identifiable information for which prior parental consent is required under COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act). We will update this notice to keep you informed of any changes in our policy.

This statement is updated periodically. If you have questions or concerns about Privacy on our Web sites, please contact us at Ferrero U.S.A., Inc.
