Ferrero Third Corporate Social Responsibility Report 2011


The third CSR Report of the Ferrero Group introduces the global sustainability strategy, developed in 2010-2011, and the objectives set for 2013-2020.

Among the 10 goals to be reached:
  • the development of self-production energy capacity to cover the needs of European plants, 30% of which comes from renewable sources;
  • 40% reduction of CO2 emissions;
  • 20% reduction of water consumption per production unit;
  • 100% of cocoa, palm oil and coffee supply certified as sustainable
  • Implementation of the traceability plan for 100% of hazelnuts
  • 100% eggs from barn hens, in respect of animal welfare
  • 100% of virgin paper and cardboard from a certified sustainable supply chain

The report was edited in conformity with GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) parameters, and an independent revision was carried out by Deloitte.
