SHARING VALUES TO CREATE VALUE
The second CSR Report of the Ferrero Group introduces the global sustainability strategy, developed in 2009-2010, and the objectives set for 2020.
Among the 10 goals to be reached:
- the development of self-production energy capacity to cover the needs of European plants 30% of which from renewable sources with consequent reduction of CO2 emissions;
- 20% reduction of water consumption per production unity; and
- 100% of cocoa, palm oil and coffee supply certified as sustainable.
The Report was edited in conformity with GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) parameters and an independent revision was carried out by Deloitte.
